Hi there, welcome to our one-week Abu Dhabi escape that was pretty much only about sunbathing, food, and more food. If you’re planning a trip there soon, I hope these snapshots from our trip will give you some ideas and make you book instantly!
We stayed at the St. Regis Abu Dhabi at Corniche beach, which had just recently opened, and we were super happy with our stay there. It was so convenient to be able to go to the private beach club through a tunnel underneath Corniche Road, whereas most hotels need to provide shuttles that you need to wait for to take you there. Plus, the staff and service was perfect, and the food exquisit. For dinners, we ate outside the hotel on many nights, and we can recommend:
- Mezlai in the Emirates Palace is definitely a must-do for authentic Emirati cuisine, excellent service and a beautiful setting
- Li Beirut at the Jumeirah Etihad towers for amazing Lebanese cuisine. Don’t miss the “Ray’s” rooftop bar afterwards!
- Burlesque at the Yas Viceroy for drinks and Thursday night show (not so much for food though)
- Saadiyat Beach Club (formerly called Monte Carlo beach club) for a drink and shisha under the stars after dinner or a sundowner before
