In our age, we are experiencing a renaissance of traditionalism and conservatism when it comes to etiquette, events like weddings, and – of course – dressing.

Ruffles Ruffles

Happy weekend! Finally the sun is out and summer is coming (with some setbacks). One of the best things about spring and summer is the possibility of doing weekday afterwork drinks outside. Outfit-wise, this entails a bit of a challenge. Usually, the best idea is to put together an outfit where only ONE item needs to be switched, so that you can easily go from day to night. In this case, I wore a conservative silk shirt during the day, and switched into this fun ruffled top later before heading out to meet my friends. Cheers!

If there’s one trend I’m going to keep embracing this spring and summer (at least when I’m not dressing for work), it’s off-the-shoulder tops and dresses.

Ending the Winter Break

Finally! After what’s been a couple of rainy, grey weeks, I’m finally posting this office outfit this spring. I know I know, it’s about time! This dress is a new favorite of mine since it’s basically as comfy as my PJ’s but a whole lot more chic. It’s already become a closet staple so I’m thinking of getting it in the two other colors it comes in. Don’t change a winning horse they say!

Hi there! Wow it’s been a while, but finally the days are getting longer again so we can shoot outfits before I’m off to work! I’m loving this…

Hi everyone! After two weeks of family time in NYC and Germany, we’ve finally arrived back in Switzerland and are looking forward to a fabulous celebration of the new…

Red Red Red

Hello & happy 3rd Advent Sunday! Not sure if you celebrate Advent time in your country, but over here we like to light an additional candle each Sunday in December (4 in total) and unwrap a small gift on each of the 24 days leading up to Christmas Eve. I love it!

For one of the Advent brunches, I went for this comfy look but added chic red accessory to get me into the Christmas mood. That made me realize how much I love my red bag this time of year – so in this post you’ll find 12 of my favorite red evening bags that will upgrade any look and add that Holiday spirit. Take a glimpse!

This December, we spontaneously decided to make a quick winter escape and catch some sunshine. Always having wanted to travel to Oman, we spent 7 days in beautiful…

Hi ladies, in preparation for the upcoming December festivities, I’m sharing this look including some red and leopard – two of my favorite things to incorporate this time…

Midweek Workwear

The white button-up shirt – a classic piece for those of us who work in a suited office environment, and also one of the three clothing pieces that make tall girls cringe when it comes to shopping (among long, especially flared, pants and long evening gowns). You can imagine my love-hate relationship with this one. Recently though, I’ve started to get them custom-made at this store in Germany where you can have your measurements taken and saved in their system for future purchases. Once you’ve established your perfect fit, you can re-order online, on the phone, or in store without repeating the whole process. Finally, a shirt that’s long enough so it doesn’t put my kidneys on full display after a few meetings, sleeves that show under a blazer as they’re supposed to, and a third button that’s not under constant tension. Price point? Around €/$ 70 for a cotton shirt, which is extremely fair in my view and much less than you’d pay for a designer shirt in the same quality of fabric. If you don’t have a tailor in your area but like the style, try this one.

Out of all types of clothing pieces, coats have been the one category where I’ve probably purchased most of this fall. I generally think that, even in summer, a…

When it comes to my workday uniform, I must say it really depends on what’s scheduled for the day. As a business consultant, I have some days where…
