7 styles you need this season – for work & play.
When it comes to dressing for the office, I definitely prefer spring and fall to the other seasons. Why? Because the temperatures inside are much closer to those outside than during summer or winter. Anybody else out there wear cashmere tops in summer and sleeveless blouses in winter?? It’s not only confusing, but I basically need to bring an entire different outfit just to grab some food during lunch break. Once it starts snowing over here in Switzerland, the office becomes a sauna. Boots at my desk? Torture. Instead, I keep a wool cape in my drawer all summer.
But with medium temperatures inside and out, anything is possible. To embrace this upcoming season of fun layers, falling leaves and golden light, I’ve put together some of my current must-have’s that I’ve fallen in love with:
1.) THE CROPPED, TWISTED SWEATER
I love how it works with anything from a polished pencil skirt to high-waisted jeans. Size down if you don’t want a slouchy fit.
2.) THE FLORAL DRESS
Shop a similar, less expensive style here.
Works with black pumps & blazer during the day (okay, when I’m not meeting clients), with a leather jacket and boots on a sunny Saturday, and with strappy heels at night.
3.) AN UPDATED STAPLE
I’m already a fun of the classic highlands, but this new pointed, mid-heel style is perfection for almost every occasion.
4.) THE BOXY BAG
5.) SOMETHING RED
6.) LOAFER LOVE
7.) THE OVERSIZED BLAZER
I’m pairing my oversized blazers with a bow-tie silk blouse (or crepe T-shirt ) and skinny trousers for the office, and ripped denim shorts or a mini skirt for afterwork drinks.
